Change Bills

March 1, 1862 -- Series C
All five denominations of series C change bills were printed. The signature line printing was changed on series C and subsequent to indicate the signature was "For Sup't." Wm. Grisham signed for the superintendent. William Grisham was the clerk of the Dahlonega Mint 1844-1849. He was appointed to sign the change bills by his niece's husband, Georgia Governor Joseph E. Brown.
